Word of the day: coffin

Yes, it’s a bit depressing to use this word as the word of the day, but it was a word I learned last Friday but forgot to post it.

English: coffin
Spanish: ataúd
Swedish: kista

Apparently in Spanish they also call it “pijama de madera” (wooden pajamas) and my friends and I were talking about it the other day, and when I asked What does “ataúd” mean? They answered pijama de madera and then when I didn’t get it (no, we don’t call it wooden pajamas in either English or Swedish) they started asking what I’d sleep in if I didn’t have my pajamas and where I would sleep forever. Weird guys, that made me even more confused because I was thinking about beds and I don’t know what else… But now I know!
